Manila cites ATI as top taxpayer, partner in progress
June 27, 2017
The City of Manila cited listed port operator Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) as the Philippine capital’s top real property and sixth highest business taxpayer for fiscal year 2016 during the commemoration of the city’s 446th founding anniversary at the historic Manila Hotel, recently.
Former president and Manila mayor Joseph Estrada thanked ATI and other corporate taxpayers for diligently contributing to the city coffers, noting that the city is very proud of its responsible corporate citizens which he branded as “Manila’s partners in progress.”
ATI operates the Manila South Harbor, one of the two international gateways into Manila, which offers comprehensive port services for international containerized and non-containerized cargoes, international cruise ships and foreign navy vessels sailing into the country on goodwill visits.
