ATI is Manila's top taxpayer
June 26, 2018
The City of Manila named listed port operator Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) as the Philippine capital’s top real property and sixth highest business taxpayer for fiscal year 2017 during the commemoration of the city’s 447th founding anniversary.
In ceremonies held at the historic Manila Hotel, former president and Manila mayor Joseph Estrada lauded ATI and other corporate taxpayers for dutifully contributing to the city coffers and for serving as the city’s partners for progress.
ATI operates the Manila South Harbor, one of the two international gateways into Manila, which offers comprehensive port services for international containerized and non-containerized cargoes, international cruise ships and foreign navy vessels sailing into the country on goodwill visits.
ATI assistant vice president Ian Baking (in photo, left), said that “these citations are added testament to ATI’s growth and excellence as a major port operator, which supports the country’s growing economy.”
